Mood Is Here To Stay

A letter from our co-founder:

First, thank you for your continued support of Mood and for standing with us to protect access to hemp-derived THC products that help you and millions of other Americans improve their quality of life.

It’s a bittersweet day. While we’re relieved the longest government shutdown in history has finally ended, it’s deeply frustrating that an unpopular ban on legal hemp was quietly slipped into the must-pass government spending bill.

We can’t help but feel the legal hemp industry was unfairly targeted and denied a fair chance to speak or defend itself.

We know that many of you are concerned about the recent federal vote that impacts hemp. Congress’s decision is a setback and ignores the 72% of Americans who support a fair, regulated hemp market. It also dismisses the industry’s calls for common-sense regulations that prioritize safety and consumers.

This is not goodbye.

The bill maintains the industry’s current status for the next 12 months.

In other words, you can continue enjoying our hemp-derived products legally and without interruption for at least the next year.

Even though this vote did not go our way, our work is far from over.

We will pick ourselves up, unite, and keep fighting for the millions of consumers who rely on hemp, for the farmers who grow it, for the employees whose livelihoods depend on it, and for the small businesses working hard to serve their communities.

The next 12 months give us the opportunity to stand together and push for the fair, sensible regulations this industry deserves.

As we have for the last three years, Mood will continue to champion a regulatory framework that protects consumers and creates a stable, long-term future for hemp

The industry continues to support:

  • Age Restrictions: Restrict the sale and possession of products to adults 21 and over

  • Testing Requirements: Require independent, third-party laboratory testing for all products

  • Consumer Protection: Require clear, uniform labeling and manufacturing standards

  • Child Safety: Require child-resistant packaging across the board

Your voice matters now more than ever. Public support is powerful, and lawmakers need to hear from the millions of Americans who rely on hemp-derived products.

We are ramping up our advocacy efforts and working directly with HIFA (Hemp Industry and Farmers of America) and other organizations to create even more opportunities for you to get involved.

In the coming days and weeks, we will share resources, tools, and actions you can take to make your voice heard, so stay tuned.

For now, you can join the fight to protect consumers and businesses across America by donating to our partners at HIFA. Your support will help ensure small businesses and farmers have a chance to thrive, along with the consumers who rely on hemp for their well-being.

We are grateful to have you with us. We will keep fighting. We will keep advocating. And we will continue to update you every step of the way.

Thank you for being part of the Mood family.

Sincerely,

David C.
