About THCa

If you’re wondering about the THCa content in our cannabis, this cannabinoid is the acidic precursor to Delta-9 THC — the form of THC best known for its psychoactive effects.

THCa on its own is not psychoactive, but when it’s burned, vaped, or smoked, it goes through a transformative process known as decarboxylation, which converts it to Delta-9 THC. 

The Farm Bill

The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 removed hemp from the federal government’s list of controlled substances.

Also known as The Farm Bill, the legislation defines “hemp” as any cannabis product with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight.

Cannabis products with more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight are still considered “marijuana” and illegal on a federal level. The Farm Bill does not limit other cannabinoids like THCa, Delta-8 THC, and THCp.
