An Introduction To Mood’s Online Dispensary
Before getting into how we categorize our products, let’s introduce you to them.
Mood is an online cannabis dispensary. All of our products are made from American-grown hemp. We work with farmers who do not use pesticides, and we have all of our products lab-tested by third-party facilities.
Each of these tests produces a certificate of analysis (COA), which you can check out before buying any of our cannabis extracts, gummies, edibles, or flower products.
Every product on Mood’s website features a COA that confirms it’s been produced with hemp that’s free from pesticides, molds, or harmful metals. Each COA also features an in-depth breakdown of the product’s cannabinoid content, including its THC levels.
When you really want to understand the potency of a given product, read through its COA.
Before going into a detailed report, however, you can look at the general potency level of any Mood product.

Categorizing Cannabis at Mood
Every cannabis user we’re writing to here is first and foremost a human.
That means you have your own specific feelings and moods that you want to come from a cannabis experience. Our shop is designed to make getting to that place easy.
In addition to letting you shop by potency, we also make it to browse for cannabis based on the type of product — i.e., gummies, flower, edibles, beverages, concentrates, vapes, and pre-rolls.
Arguably, the coolest way to sort through our varied inventory is to shop by the mood you want to enjoy. Our line features ten distinct mood categories. Check out legal cannabis designed to make you feel:
Mood Potency Levels
You can quickly gauge the THC potency and overall strength of any Mood product by checking to see which of the following categories it falls into.
Mild Potency
Naturally, our mild potency products feature the lowest THC levels at the Mood Shop. These gummies feature around 5mg of Delta-9 THC each.
For first-timers and anyone with a low tolerance, you can break this up into smaller bits by simply taking a small nibble of a gummy and then waiting to see the strength of the effects.
Our mild-potency THC products tend to have a slower onset — i.e., 45 minutes to two hours — so it’s easier to feel your way through it. The strength of these products is light compared to others, partially due to the low levels of THC.
We also have mild potency products with significantly more CBD than THC. CBD does not have any psychoactive effects, but it has been linked with supporting calm and muscle relaxation, which can make any high feel easy, pleasant, and chill.

Medium Potency
Featuring middle-of-the-road THC levels, our line of medium-potency cannabis opens up in terms of variety and use of additional cannabinoids.
In addition to gummies, our moderately potent products also include our new line of THC-infused beverages. Featuring no-sugar seltzers and low-sugar sodas, they offer a delicious alternative to sip on at your next party.
Mood’s Medium Potency flower options’ THCa levels average just above 20%. These American-grown buds feature strains from California, Colorado, and more of the best destinations for growing across the country.
Our medium-potency edibles feature average THC levels per serving — i.e., 10mg to 20mg. Depending on your tolerance, these could be considered stronger concentrations of THC, so it’s worth going one bite at a time.

High Potency
Of course, any weed, edibles, or concentrates you find categorized as “High Potency” on the Mood Shop are designed for more seasoned users.
High Potency products can feature THC levels of 20mg or higher.
These Delta-9 THC Watermelon Rings, for example, each feature 25mg of Delta-9 THC, 25mg of Delta-8 THC, 15mg of Delta-10 THC, and 1mg of THC-P.
The High Potency selection also features this Hero Dose Nano THC Syrup, which contains 16.6mg of hemp-derived THC. In just a teaspoon, there are 10.4mg of Delta-9 THC and 8.3mg of CBD.
We recommend starting out with our mild potency products. For those with a tolerance and experience with cannabis, our high-THC products offer a wide range of quality strength.

How Does Cannabis Get You High?
The cannabis plant is rich in compounds known as cannabinoids or phytocannabinoids. Among these, there are the many forms of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD), and more.
The human body has its own cannabinoid receptors that are directly linked to our nervous systems. When we consume cannabis in certain ways, those phytocannabinoids bond with our cannabinoid receptors to deliver the effects they’re known for.

An Introduction To THC
You’ve probably heard of THC as the compound in weed that gets you high. That’s somewhat true.
In actuality, there are several different forms of THC, and only some of them are psychoactive. Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is most famous for the high it provides.
The Farm Bill, which passed in 2018, removed hemp from the federal government’s list of controlled substances.
The bill differentiates “hemp” from “marijuana,” which remains illegal. Hemp, according to the bill, is a cannabis product with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. In line with the Farm Bill, hemp products can have high concentrations of other forms of THC like THCa, Delta-8 THC, Delta-10 THC, THCp, and THCv.
Capable of helping users kick back like the weed they’ve known and loved, Farm Bill-compliant cannabis products are easy to order directly to your front door.

How Everybody Responds To Cannabis Uniquely
Yes, the amount of THC in a given cannabis product plays a large role in how strong the effects are.
However, THC content is far from the only thing a cannabis user, weed smoker, or edible eater should take into account when shopping.
Here are some areas outside of cannabinoids that can play a role in how a high feels for one person compared to another:
Tolerance — The frequency with which you use cannabis plays a massive role in how you respond to a given product. The more you consume and the more consistent your intake is, the higher your tolerance will be.
Intake Method — Some cannabis products are designed to help you feel the effects of THC and other cannabinoids faster, while some offer slower onsets. Dabbing is known to bring on a strong high fast, while many edibles are designed for slower and longer-lasting experiences, for example.
Personal Health — Needs and special circumstances relating to physical healthcare, psychiatry, and pharmacology can affect how someone responds to a psychoactive compound. We’re not experts or authorities in any of these areas. Make sure to check in with licensed professionals to learn more about how your health might influence a cannabis experience.
Additional Substances — If you’re taking something with its own side effects, then your cannabis experience will likely feel intensified. This can lead to mild or high-potency products feeling stronger than you’d expect. It also changes the high, so any mixed-use experiences can’t be used to gauge how a given product would make you feel on its own.
